Based on true events, Dee Roberts, a 24-year-old African American single mother of four young girls, is barely making ends meet. When a SWAT Team raids her neighborhood, Dee ends up in jail mistakenly charged as a drug dealer. Pressured to admit guilt and plea bargain she instead chooses to fight the district attorney. She forms an unlikely alliance with an ACLU attorney and risks everything in a battle that forever changes her life and the Texas justice system.
