Synopsis

From creator/writer/star Issa Rae, Insecure centers on an unbreakable friend group of Black millennials navigating awkward and formative experiences in the heart of LA. Held down by her longtime BFF Molly (Yvonne Orji) – a corporate lawyer at ease in the boardroom but less so in matters of the heart – Issa is a passionate, Inglewood-bred community builder whose indecisiveness often clouds her vision. Picking up shortly after they each receive crushing blows from their men, Insecure’s fifth and final season finds our leads – alongside the hilarious Kelli (Natasha Rothwell) and high maintenance Tiffany (Amanda Seales) – attempting to rebuild and move forward. Punctuated by Issa’s iconic rap monologues and fantasies, the beloved HBO comedy series continues to probe a universal question: who and what should join me in the next phase of my life?
