Synopsis

Amidst World War II, Gilles, a Jewish Frenchman, pretends to be Persian. Introducing himself to German Nazi soldiers as Reza, he is still taken to a concentration camp. The deputy commandant, Klaus Koch, puts him on kitchen duty while also tasking Gilles to teach him Farsi. However, Gilles doesn't know a single word of Farsi. But he invents things and tries to wing it in order to stay alive.
