Synopsis

General Collatine unwittingly incites his friend Prince Tarquin a burning desire for his beautiful and chaste wife, Lucrece the fair. But, Tarquin's pursuit of her is fraught with despair and the perils of spiritual damnation. Our tragic tale is b ased on Shakespeare's poem 'The Rape of Lucrece,' set in a haunting 13th century castle amidst the mountains of Italy, accompanied bt rhw music of Monteverdi and the narration of the legendary Richard Burton.
