This July, light up your campus with exciting and engaging movie events! Check out themes, movies, and event ideas for July below!

Event Ideas:
Independence Day

Organize a campus-wide barbecue and outdoor games like tug-of-war or a water balloon fight. Encourage students to show up to the film dressed in red, white and blue and provide themed snacks and drinks.

Set up a large screen on the campus lawn or an open space and host an outdoor movie night featuring patriotic films. Provide blankets or lawn chairs for students to relax and enjoy the movie under the stars.

If allowed and safe, coordinate a fireworks display in collaboration with local authorities after your movie screening. Ensure that all necessary permits and safety measures are in place. Inform students in advance so they can gather in a designated area to watch the spectacular show.

Set up booths or stalls where students can showcase their artistic talents and sell patriotic-themed crafts, paintings or handmade items. It provides an opportunity for students to express their creativity and support local artisans.

“Every student that attended our ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ screening received a wooden DIY plane. We also did a raffle, and one lucky student won a card version of movie trivia. Our concessions were all either red, white, or blue to stay on theme.”
