Synopsis

Based on true stories, this WWII drama is about how Britain's spy agency started recruiting women to operate as spies. Vera Atkins is in charge of training women from various walks of life for the job. Recruits include Noor Inayat Khan, a Muslim of Indian descent and a pacifist, and ambitious American Virginia Hall who walks with a wooden leg. The women are put to the test when they are assigned to France and infiltrate the Nazi forces.
