Synopsis

Upon surviving the Holocaust when she was a young girl, Simone Veil embarked upon a career in politics, overcoming prejudice, sexism, and political turmoil to rise through the ranks of the French political system to become a magistrate, eventually moving on to serve as the President of the European Parliament from 1979 to 1982. Despite the trials of the twentieth century, Simone remained steadfast in her advocacy for humanism. The narrative is inspired by true events.
