Synopsis
Best Picture nominee about a young Belgian woman who defies her family and becomes a nun, but her faith is continually tested with hardships, working in hospitals in the Congo and war-torn France. The film was nominated for eight Oscars, including Actress (Audrey Hepburn) and Director (Fred Zinnemann), but received none.
