This two-part HBO Sports documentary event examines the life and times of Muhammad Ali, a transcendent figure in American history and perhaps the most recognized person in the world over the past 50 years. Exploring Ali’s challenges, confrontations, comebacks and triumphs through recordings of his own voice, What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali paints an intimate portrait of a man who was a beacon of hope for oppressed people around the world and, in his later years, was recognized as a global citizen and a symbol of humanity and understanding. Directed and executive produced by acclaimed feature-film director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali is the first feature-length HBO production from SpringHill Entertainment, with LeBron James and Maverick Carter (both from HBO’s The Shop) also serving as executive producers.
