Spread the Word: Promote Your Events with Residence Life Cinema

With the holidays just around the corner, now is the perfect time to bring residents together. Whether you’re screening a holiday classic or holding a seasonal food drive, Residence Life Cinema can help you engage with students.

Bumpers

Bumpers provide RA’s and housing leadership with a huge advantage when sharing important messages and upcoming events with residents. Plus, students are unable to skip the ads like traditional online video advertisements or TV commercials. You’ll lower printing costs, have a wider reach, and surely fill more seats.

How to Create Bumpers

If your school is not taking advantage of this unique function, Residence Life Cinema can help you get started. Ask your Account Rep for advice on how to use these resources with your program. For step by step instructions on how to create your own bumpers, download our “How To” guide now by clicking on the image to the right.

Promotional Toolkit

We make movie event promotion easy with our downloadable, customizable toolkit. It includes door hangers, flyers, posters, table tents, sample social media posts, popcorn stickers, web banners and more! Add your school’s unique Residence Life Cinema URL, sponsor information and school logo, then simply print and share the materials! To download, simply click the image on the left.

You can also find thumbnail images and bulletin board posters specific to a movie by searching for the title on our website.

Restrictions

You should always be creative and adventurous when promoting your events, but there are a few limitations to keep in mind:

  • If you are promoting a movie then you are welcome to use the studio-approved images we provide on our website. But please note that these images may not be edited or altered in any way, and must include the copyright (©) symbol and studio name.
  • Advertising movie showings via on-premises signage, websites, email, social media accounts or direct mail is acceptable. Any promotion that is done by means of a marquee, lighted sign or billboard that will be seen by the public may not include the name of the movie.
  • Our movies are specifically licensed for non-theatrical showings only. Advertising through media such as radio, television or newspaper is not permitted. If this policy is violated or your screening becomes openly competitive with a commercial theater, your movie(s) could be canceled without notice.
