‘It Ends with Us’ Has an Amazing Beginning

The romance drama "It Ends with Us" captivates audiences with a $50 million opening, marking Blake Lively’s biggest leading role debut.

Columbia Pictures’ latest release, "It Ends with Us," is making waves at the box office, pulling in a staggering $50 million during its opening weekend in North America. The film, based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover, has not only captivated audiences but also marked a career milestone for star Blake Lively, delivering her biggest opening weekend in a leading role.

Directed by Justin Baldoni and produced by Lively herself, "It Ends with Us" weaves a compelling tale of love, strength and self-discovery. The film follows Lily Bloom, played by Lively, as she navigates the complexities of love and trauma. A chance encounter with a charismatic neurosurgeon, portrayed by Justin Baldoni, sets off a whirlwind romance that soon takes a darker turn. As Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan, reenters her life, played by Brandon Sklenar, she faces an impossible choice that will define her future.

Audiences have responded with enthusiasm, earning the film a remarkable 94 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and an A- CinemaScore. Critics are equally impressed. The film also stars Isabela Ferrer and Jenny Slate. It’s rated PG-13 and has a 130-minute runtime.
