Congrats to the 2025 Emmy Nominees
The Television Academy unveiled the nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards on Tuesday, July 15, showcasing an impressive array of talent and creativity across the television landscape. Swank is proud to offer many of these critically acclaimed shows and films to our audiences.
HBO continues to be a powerhouse in television, garnering a record-breaking 142 nominations this year – the most of any platform. Several of their shows available through Swank have received multiple nods. “The White Lotus” continues to captivate viewers and Emmy voters alike, earning 23 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series.
“The Last of Us” made a powerful showing as well, with its second season picking up 16 nominations. The post-apocalyptic HBO series is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, and its stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey earned lead acting nods.
On the comedy side, “Hacks” returned with an impressive 14 nominations. The HBO original – now in its fourth season – is once again up for Outstanding Comedy Series, and Jean Smart earned yet another nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
In the limited series arena, “The Penguin” swooped in as a major contender. The Batman-universe crime drama scored 24 nominations – the highest tally for any limited or anthology series this year.
