Congratulations to the 2026 Oscar Nominees!

The 98th Academy Award nominations were announced January 22, 2026, with fans and industry insiders around the world buzzing over which films and talent will compete at this year’s Oscars. With the ceremony set for March 15, 2026 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles – hosted by Conan O’Brien – this year’s field highlights a rich mix of genres, international voices, documentaries, animation and standout performances.

On top of the pack is “Sinners,” which made history with a record-breaking 16 nominations – the most ever for a single film. The blues-heavy vampire film is up for Best Picture, Actor Michael B. Jordan, Supporting Actress Wunmi Mosaku, Supporting Actor Delroy Lindo, Director and Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler, Music Score, Song “I Lied to You.” Cinematography, Production Design, Costume Design, Sound, Editing, Makeup & Hair, Casting, and Visual Effects.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s father-daughter action-thriller “One Battle After Another” is also a top nominee, earning a total of 13 nominations. Four of the film’s actors were nominated – Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn – as well as nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Score.

Both of these films are Warner Bros. titles, earning the studio the most nominations with 30 total nods. Neon followed with 18 in total.

Timothée Chalamet also made history by becoming the youngest actor to receive three acting nominations for his role in A24’s “Marty Supreme.” The film earned nine awards overall, including Best Picture.

Emma Stone broke a similar record. At 37, she’s the youngest woman to receive seven Oscar nominations, surpassing a record previously held by Meryl Streep. Stone is nominated for Best Actress and Best Picture for “Bugonia.” If she wins, she will tie Francis McDormand for the second-most wins for Best Actress. Katherine Hepburn holds the all-time record with four.  

“F1,” “Hamnet” and “Sentimental Value” are also up for Best Picture.

The 98th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, with the ceremony airing live on ABC and streaming on Hulu. It’s a can’t-miss night celebrating the very best in film.
