While searching for shipwrecks on the bottom of Lake Michigan, archaeologists stumbled across a mysterious rock formation. No one could explain what it was or how it ended up 40 feet below the surface. Even more perplexing a possible man-made carving was uncovered on one of the rocks: and it looks like a mastodon. How did it get there? Why would a long-extinct creature be etched into a rock on the bottom of Lake Michigan? And what is the significance of the perplexing hexagon pattern of six rocks found near the center?
