Synopsis

The annual Spring cattle drive is on the horizon, and the Kilcher family is forced to adjust in the wake of Otto's surgery. Otto's son, Levi, returns to Alaska to join forces with brother Eivin. The two young cattlemen take the reins so that their father can heal, but Otto's unwillingness to step aside puts him in danger. Deep in the backcountry, Atz and Atz Lee take advantage of the spring weather by working feverishly on the construction of Atz Lee's new cabin. Back on the homestead, Jane defiantly tackles a cabin renovation that she fears will infuriate Atz Lee, while Charlotte is blindsided by a tragedy at home.
