Synopsis

This performance of the stage musical "Newsies," based on the cult-hit 1992 movie of the same name, was initially filmed live at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre. Set in 1899 New York City, the story centers on a real-life strike by the local paperboys after publishing baron Joseph Pulitzer decided to raise the price of newspapers.
