Synopsis

This docudrama centers on Robert Hendy-Freegard, who tricked people into believing he was an MI5 agent. While working as a barman, he lured victims into believing that his or their life was in danger, often from the IRA. In doing so, he swindled them out of their money and vehicles, often convincing them to go into hiding with him. While doing so, he seduced several women, ultimately taking their savings and possessions. The film covers this, as well as his conviction and supposed reform.
