The Singing Nun

(1966)

Synopsis

Debbie Reynolds stars as a guitar-slinging sister in this sentimental tunefest about a nun whose religious calling still leaves her time to pen hit records. Based on the true story of Soeur Sourire, Reynolds is Sister Ann, a kind soul whose song, "Dominique," written for a motherless boy on whom she takes pity, eventually lands her on "The Ed Sullivan Show" (the master appears as himself).
