The Family Stone
(2005)
Synopsis
A top-flight cast led by Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keaton sparks this funny and poignant farce about a starchy Manhattan career woman (Parker) who muddles through the Christmas holidays with the screwy family of her black-sheep fiance (Mulroney). Keaton is wonderful as the matriarch, and Claire Danes is a treat as Parker's much-too-likable sister. Written and directed by Thomas Bezucha. Craig T. Nelson, Rachel McAdams, Luke Wilson, Tyrone Giordano, Brian White.
