What do I need to get my channel up and running?

This solution requires the Swank Digital Media Player to be physically connected to an existing facility head-end system via a modulator – provided by the facility’s cable provider. These three components allow for a custom channel to be injected into the system and, ultimately, the channel line-up.

How often will our movies be updated?

Every other month. Swank ships USB drives with your latest movie package. Just plug in to refresh your schedule.

Does the DMP need internet access?

No. All content updates happen offline via USB for maximum security and reliability.

How is content selected for the channel?

Your designated Account Manager knows the top titles requested by staff and residents – plus program providers and volunteers – and is able to suggest, select and schedule the content for your channel on a quarterly basis. You’re also welcome to select your own content if you wish.

Can the DMP run more than one channel?

Yes. Each additional channel requires its own player, allowing you to tailor programming by housing unit or theme.

Can we share custom facility messages

Yes. You can include short intermission slides between films with facility updates, PSAs or positive affirmations.

Does this require a special controller?

No. It is compatible with your existing television remote and speaker setup.
